Melon Madness...

Please scroll down to view this post in English!

(Hier ist Kreativität gefragt: Was gibt der Kühlschrank her?

Juicy summer melons, the tartness of grown-up booze, dairy at its best and some seriously soaked ladyfingers... All of these flavors combined into a wonderful light summer night dessert! Dressed in elegant white, this tiramisu brings out the ripeness of a deeply orange-colored Charentais or Cantaloupe melon but tickles your tongue with an abundance of well-matched flavors.
Did I mention I loved it?? ;)

Vodka-infused melon tiramisu
1.) Marinate the diced melons in vodka for at least eight hours.

2.) Drain the melons and save the melon vodka. Cover the bottom of a large casserole with ladyfingers and soak them in a mixture of the melon vodka and white wine.
3.) Combine sour cream, ricotta, curd cheese, yoghurt, sugar and lemon juice and whisk until smooth. (Be creative! Rummage through your fridge - any kind of rather firm dairy product will work as long as the result is a smooth cream with a distinctive tang...;)). Whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the dairy mixture.
4.) Spread the drained melon cubes evenly over the ladyfingers, cover it with the cream and let the flavors mingle and infuse for at least two hours in the fridge.

Ingredients:
1-2 melons
100 ml vodka
100 ml dry white wine
400 g sour cream
200 g whipping cream or heavy cream
100 g curd cheese
125 g ricotta
75 g yoghurt
juice of one lemon
50-100 g sugar
ladyfingers (I needed 36)

Enjoy!
